Scope and content

The image depicts Pentecost with the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove discending on the twelve Apostles, with Jesus Christ on the left giving them Communion. There are the introduction of two famous Eucharistic hymns: O salutaris Hostia and Veni Creator Spiritus. At the forefront and the bottom of the image, one finds an altar with the Eucharistic Chalice and Host, with the symbols of the vine and grain. Overleaf, one finds the first four lines of the third stanza of the Eucharistic hymn written by E. Caswell. The image is a memento commemorating the Eucharist Day held at the Infant and Primary Schools of Msida.
