Scope and content

The pale-coloured image depicts an 'old' St Joseph holding the Child Jesus on his arm and a white lilium in the other, wearing guilded halos. The white lilium denotes purity. This image is a memento of the feast of St Joseph, who is the patron saint of the village of Kalkara, by three missionary Capuchin friars who hail from the same village, Kalkara - Fr Ignazio, Fr Ercolano and Fr Alessio.
