Scope and content

The black and white image depicts St John Bosco surrounded by children and a host of angels above him. This image is a memento of the celebrations held in May 1935 in his honour. At the bottom of the back page there is printed one of the saint's quotes: Make good deeds quickly as time flies and you will remain deceived. Interesting to note is the coat of arms at the top of the Congregation of St Francis de Sales. This saint was the patron of the works done Don Bosco and Don Bosco himself took from St Francis the motto "Da mihi animas, caetera tolle" meaning "Give me souls and take away the rest."
