The picture depicts the symbol of the Holy Eucharist, comprising of the Chalice, Host, grapes (wine) and wheat (bread). There is also an image of a white lily, the symbol of purity. Overleaf, one can find the Eucharistic Hymn written by the Maltese National Poet Dun Karm Psaila, for the International Eucharistic Congress held in Malta in April 1913.
