Scope and content

The very plain postcard portrays a photo of the gold trowel that was gifted to the Pope by the Catholic Bishops to close the Holy Door at the end of the Jubilee Year 1925. This picture is set in a red border while the wording on the postcard is also in red. At the bottom there is a note that this picture or part of it cannot be reprinted. Overleaf, one finds a note (illegible signature) sent to Fr Paolo Farrugia of Senglea (address Pharmacy-Chemist). The note says that there was a mistake in his/her result of the Church History examination. The result had to read "summa cum laude" and not just "cum laude." On the right hand side of the postcard, there are affixed 3 Italian stamps and on top of them, 2 postal rubber stamps (illegible).
