The dark sepia-coloured image with some gold touchingsis a reproduction of the famous painting by the Spanish Baroque artist Bartolome Esteban Murillo (d. 1682) of St Francis of Assisi embracing the Crucified Christ. The image is a memento of the first centenary since when the Franciscan Third Order was set up. The celebrations were held at the Qormi Parish.
