Department: Works. Mr. Lorenzo Laferla is writing to the Supt. of Works informing him of his purchase of a property in Żabbar and he was pleased to concede to Govt. the portion needed of 33 feet in length to complete Church Avenue in same village, but if any further land was needed this had to be paid for it. It follows that his offer was not accepted and he made another one which if disregarded would force him to start legal action. Following this, Supt. wrote to the C.S.G. informing him about these offers and urging that Mr. Laferla' offer be accepted because he was giving for free land worth £21.1.2 which would have entitled same for compensation and he was only claiming compensation worth £11.1.8 for a smaller piece of land. All this was part of a field know as "tal Ehrief". Contract was signed accordingly.
